About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Remote Transcriptionist to join our team. In this role, you will listen to audio or video recordings and convert them into accurate, well-formatted written documents. The ideal candidate has strong listening skills, excellent grammar, and the ability to meet deadlines while working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Transcribe audio and video files into clear, accurate written text

  • Review and edit drafts for clarity, grammar, and completeness

  • Follow project-specific guidelines and formatting requirements

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

  • Manage multiple assignments and deliver transcripts by set deadlines

  • Communicate with the project manager to clarify audio issues, deadlines, or instructions

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a transcriptionist or similar role

  • Excellent command of written English and strong grammar skills

  • Ability to distinguish speakers and interpret accents, dialects, and varying audio qualities

  • Fast and accurate typing skills (recommended: 60+ wpm)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread your own work

  • Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quality headphones
